Neurodiversity · Psychophysics
Our lab investigates how developmental mechanisms drive changes in visual cognition and how these changes are refined by experience. We also explore the visual system's remarkable ability to recover from disruption (plasticity) and the limits of this recovery. We specialize in studying special populations, with a primary focus on understanding perception in individuals with both high- and low-functioning autism. We use various research methods to explore these questions, including psychophysics, eye-tracking, and computational modeling.
